The checkpoint inhibitors results in advances in treatment of breast cancer, especially refractory molecular subtypes. This review is aimedto highlight the current knowledge on the immunotherapy and the advances in its implications in treatment of breast cancer with emphasis on newly approved therapeutic approaches in this field.
